Playing Sound in Java:
There are lots of ways to make java make some noise. What I have here is a open source package developed by javazoom.
Setting it up:
1. JSound1.0 (Download and extract to the same folder as your program)
2. jl1.0.jar (Download to the same folder, no extraction necessary)
3. mp3.java (This is a sample program that uses the package to play a “Taylor.mp3” by Jack Jonson, you’ll have to change the file to your own song.
Adding a class path using Ready:
You’ll need to tell java where to look for this package. Under the file menu select preferences. Go over to the java tab copy the directory of the javaZoom folder in the JSound package into the filed that says “add class path”.
You should be good to go!
